When you search out for the best phone in the market, there are millions of models to choose from thousand available options. It is never very easy to draw a final consensus when it comes to making the perfect choice. Nokia phones will give an endless list of handsets but an Apple fan will never make a second thought even with a limited number of handsets the company provides.  Similarly when it comes to reading the market trends, sales figures will always vary subjected to the conditions around.

Well Nielson Company has still managed to draw out some statistics revealing Apple iPhone as the leading mobile phone used in the U.S.  leaving behind RIM’s  Blackberry and others. With a very small difference of .3% as Apple enjoys 4.0% of share with blackberry lagging behind at 3.7%. Quite  far in the race is Motorola RAZR V3 series with 2.3% with LG and Samsung following. Here are the other details of the report:

Tech Crunch has also highlighted few interesting findings from the report that reveal that 21% of households now use mobile phones only giving up the land line numbers and that 15% of households now own at least one smartphone. It clearly showcases how the mobile phones are slowly fading away the land line usage and people opting for a more convenient means of communication. Well these reports often take different turns as consumer preferences change, but for now Apple is reaping the fruits of its efforts.
